TechnipFMC seeks local companies for offshore services in Guyana

TechnipFMC has issued a Request for Expression of Interest (EOI) for companies to support upcoming offshore projects in Guyana. 

Interested suppliers must be registered with the Local Content Secretariat and the Centre for Local Business Development in Guyana, Technip said.

The services being sought include manufacture and supply of shackles and slings under Lifting Equipment Services; aluminum welding and fabrication under Workshop Services; provision of all-inclusive onsite canteen services; accredited training and certification for HSE personnel in areas such as fire fighting, first aid, CPR, rigging and lifting, and offshore training; technical training on HPUs including pressure testing, flushing, safety, maintenance, and practical hands-on assessments; provision of corrugated packaging material; and the supply and leasing of network printers with installation and maintenance support.

The company has been a major player in Guyana’s oil and gas sector since securing its first subsea production system contract in 2017 for Exxon’s Liza 1 project. 

For projects in Guyana, TechnipFMC provides Enhanced Vertical Deepwater Trees (EVDTs), Tooling, Manifolds, Controls and Tie-in Equipment and Life of Field Services. TechnipFMC is expected to supply 400 subsea trees in the period 2024-2029, with 35% for Exxon’s Guyana developments.
