Trinidad and Tobago is scheduled to sign a new agreement with oil and gas giant Shell next week.

According to a report in Loop, Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley will lead a Government delegation which will include Ministers from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Energy, the Office of the Prime Minister, and some technical people from the National Gas Company (NGC).

This is part of a ten-day energy trip abroad starting early next week, during which he will meet with executives of Shell, BHP and EOG Resources, among others.

Loop said he made the announcement at Thursday’s Post Cabinet Media Briefing.

Rowley indicated that while the visit to Holland is to sign an agreement with Shell, other issues will have to be raised with other companies.
