MODEC Guyana Inc. has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking qualified suppliers to provide fabrication services for upcoming floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) projects offshore Guyana.

The company is requesting services to supply and fabricate handrails, monorails, and an interlink platform with a combined total weight of approximately 210 metric tonnes (MT).

The RFI says the work covers supplying and fabricating handrails (about 100 MT, needed by May 2026), monorails (about 70 MT, needed by May 2026), and an interlink platform (about 50 MT, needed by January 2027).

Activities will cover the supply of materials and consumables, manpower, cutting, fit-up, machining, welding, grinding, NDE services, galvanizing and painting, preservation, dimension control and final documentation submission. MODEC said all welding must be done in accordance with AWS D1.1.

MODEC currently holds engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contracts for two FPSOs being built for ExxonMobil’s offshore developments in Guyana, the Uaru and Hammerhead projects.

These vessels will contribute to the continued expansion of oil production at the Stabroek Block, which is expected to reach 1.7 million barrels per day by 2030.
