Guyanese-owned and operated online platform OilNOW has received its second award in three months in recognition of coverage being provided on the country’s emerging oil and gas industry and related business activities.

The most recent award was handed over by the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) in recognition of coverage being provided by the news and information service. The accolade was handed over on the occasion of GCCI’s 130th Annual Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner which was held at the Guyana Marriott Hotel in Georgetown on November 28.

GCCI’s past president and executive member Deodat Indar handed over the award to OilNOW’s Co-founder and Content Development Manager, Christopher Chapwanya.

In August, Guyana’s Ministry of Natural Resources awarded OilNOW for its coverage of news and developments in the oil and gas sector.

The news service was founded in recognition of the need for a dedicated platform – the only one of its kind in Guyana – providing coverage of the oil and gas industry.
