Marine Services provider, Bourbon Offshore, is mobilizing three more vessels for its operations offshore the new oil producing country of Guyana.
“We now have two [vessels] on long term contracts with the major operator, and with these three with a major sub-contractor to the major operator, the total will be five by mid-year,” Edward Cooper, Managing Director, told OilNOW on Monday.
The incoming vessels are the Bourbon Sapphire, Diamond and Clear.
The France-based company, which provides marine and logistics as well as subsea services to the global oil and gas industry, officially opened an office in Guyana in May of 2019 and has been expanding its operations in the country since then.
Bourbon offers what it describes as a “worldwide but locally-based service” through its operating affiliates. The more than 8,000 employees of the group represent over 80 nationalities and nearly 65% of the personnel work in their country of origin.
The company specializes in supplying offshore installations and vessels and handles complex subsea operations.
