LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Terry Tamminen Statement on California’s Selection as One of US’s 7 Hydrogen Hubs:
“I’d like to thank President Biden and his administration for recognizing California’s leadership on all things clean energy and allowing us to leverage our expertise to build the infrastructure of a statewide Hydrogen Hub.
I’d like to also congratulate California Governor Gavin Newsom, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, and the entire Arches H2 network for securing this $1.2 billion in federal funding. This will provide a blueprint for decarbonizing some of the biggest causes of pollutants – public transportation, heavy duty trucking, and port operations.
Hydrogen will play an essential role in creating a cleaner future. The California Hydrogen Hub will create new jobs and expand opportunities for disadvantaged communities, all while making the Golden State greener.”
Terry Tamminen is the President/CEO of AltaSea at the Port of Los Angeles and served as the Secretary of the California Environmental Protection Agency for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
