ExxonMobil Guyana Limited (EMGL) continued developmental drilling at the UA_4i02 Drill Center, part of the Uaru project in the Stabroek Block.
The campaign, underway since September 21, is being executed by the Noble Tom Madden drillship and is scheduled to conclude on October 31, 2025, according to a new notice from the Maritime Administration Department (MARAD).

The UA_4i02 site lies about 98 nautical miles (181 kilometers) off Guyana’s coast and spans one square kilometer. This location is one of several drill centers that form part of Uaru, the country’s fifth approved offshore development.
The US$12.7 billion Uaru project targets more than 800 million barrels of oil and will comprise up to 10 drill centers and 44 wells. ExxonMobil has set an initial production target of 250,000 barrels of oil per day by 2026.

To support production, Japanese contractor MODEC is building the Errea Wittu floating production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO) under an engineering, procurement, and construction contract. The unit will be central to handling Uaru’s offshore output when the project comes online.
