Hunting PLC said on Monday it is executing a US$20 million contract to deliver Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) accessories for deepwater drilling operations offshore Guyana, strengthening the British oilfield services company’s foothold in one of the world’s fastest-growing energy frontiers.

The order, secured in early 2025 through a global oilfield services firm, supports offshore activities in Guyana, where ExxonMobil’s operations dominate. Deliveries are underway, the company said, underscoring Hunting’s ability to meet demand for high-performance tubular products used in complex well completions.

“This OCTG contract underscores Hunting’s growing role in one of the world’s most active offshore basins,” Scott George, Managing Director for North America, said. “It reflects the confidence operators place in our technology and our ability to deliver reliable OCTG solutions at scale in the toughest deepwater environments.”

The high-specification equipment, designed to withstand extreme pressures and environmental conditions, will be used to ensure structural integrity and performance in challenging offshore wells.

The deal forms part of Hunting’s 2030 strategy to expand its global OCTG footprint. It follows a US$52.5 million project completed by its Subsea Technologies division for the Uaru field, where it supplied titanium stress joints for riser systems — components the company says it is uniquely capable of manufacturing.

With new offshore developments accelerating, Guyana has emerged as a key deepwater province in the Western Hemisphere. Hunting said its ongoing OCTG deliveries and subsea work position it to support future drilling campaigns and expansion in the basin.
