Noble Corporation is expected to kick off its first Vendor Day for 2026 on February 19 at 10 AM as it looks to expand its base of Guyanese suppliers.
Noble operates four drill ships in Guyana’s Stabroek Block for ExxonMobil. The event will be held at the Pegasus Exhibition Centre.
“Noble’s Supplier Day is hosted to give all stakeholders a forum to network and provide valuable feedback on how we can help each other better the service delivery, as there is always room for growth. A number of local businesses, small to large support Noble’s project in Guyana,” the company’s Local Content Manager, Renatha Khan, told OilNOW on February 11.

Khan explained that those businesses offer offshore catering services, manpower, machining, property rental services and provide consumables.
“Noble is continuously testing the market through the request for information (RFI) process to determine in which sectors local capacity is growing. RFIs are published as a need arises for a particular product or service,” she added.
Khan also outlined the standards companies must meet to qualify for Noble’s supply chain. Under regulatory compliance, suppliers must be considered locally owned “by the standard outlined by the Local Content Act.” On safety, the company looks for “the integration of risk management into the procurement process and safe working principles”.
Addressing quality expectations, Khan said, “Noble’s vision is to be the undisputed drilling contractor in deep water drilling, and we expect our suppliers to deliver a quality of service that supports that vision.” Timely performance is also a key facet. “It’s essential for suppliers to deliver materials on time so that we can minimize downtime,” she said, adding, “Work completed or response time are within a specified time period.”
She warned against breaches of standards, defining non-conformances as “any situation in which objective evidence indicates the non-fulfillment of a management system, regulatory, or other specified requirement, or the refusal or failure to conform to accepted standards, policies, and procedures.”
Khan also highlighted innovation as “continuous improvement resulting in improved outcome, subscribing to advancement in technologies to help grow the business and better serve customers.”
On documentation, she outlined the need for “proper record keeping for accuracy and timely submission of Invoices.”
Noble’s drilling contract offshore Guyana has been extended through 2029, after ExxonMobil awarded Noble Corporation plc additional rig years under its Commercial Enabling Agreement.
The award applies evenly across four drillships operating in Guyana — Noble Sam Croft, Noble Don Taylor, Noble Tom Madden and Noble Bob Douglas — and is part of a broader package of new contracts totaling about US$1.3 billion announced by Noble on January 26, 2026.
