Halliburton Guyana Incorporated is inviting local construction companies to bid for a project that will convert an existing wash bay into a climate-controlled workshop facility, creating another opportunity for Guyanese contractors to support oil and gas operations.

The project, published on Guyana’s Local Content Register on July 14, involves upgrading a 192-square-meter wash bay through enclosure modifications, environmental control systems, lifting equipment installation, and other related works.

The facility upgrade is expected to require contractors with experience in industrial construction, building modifications, mechanical installations, and similar projects. The work forms part of the support infrastructure needed by energy service companies operating in Guyana’s expanding petroleum sector.

Halliburton provides oilfield services across areas including drilling, well construction, completion, production optimization, and reservoir management. The company is among the international service providers supporting ExxonMobil Guyana’s developments in the Stabroek Block.

According to the company, interested contractors must demonstrate their ability to complete the project by submitting company registration documents, a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) certificate, business registration information, and a company profile outlining relevant experience.

Companies are also required to complete a Request for Information (RFI) document and submit an expression of interest detailing their suitability for the work. Expressions of interest must be submitted by August 14, 2026.
