Blackbuck Resources Achieves Milestone in Sustainable Water Management with Successful Completion of Major Recycling Projects

HOUSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Blackbuck Resources LLC (“Blackbuck”), which designs, builds, and operates water infrastructure in the Permian Basin, is pleased to announce the successful completion of two significant water recycling projects utilizing the company’s existing infrastructure located in Eddy County, New Mexico. The combined initiatives provided approximately two million barrels, or eighty-four million gallons, of recycled water for well completions, reducing Blackbuck’s customers’ need to draw from the region’s strained aquifers. The projects took place over a sixty-day period and were completed in September of this year.

“Recycling of produced water has always been core to Blackbuck’s strategy as it positively impacts the environment,” said Blackbuck CEO and President Justin Love. “While we have completed many recycle projects since the company’s founding, the scale, breadth, and short timeline of these two projects demonstrates how impactful our infrastructure can be in relieving stress on regional water tables while also helping our customers operate more cost effectively and sustainably. As we expand our operations across the Permian, we are enthusiastic about the growing opportunities to convert wastewater into a valuable resource.”
