The latest of edition of Energy – Guyana’s premier publication focusing on developments in the oil and gas industry was published this week with major focus on upcoming landmark projects and updates on the offshore developments that is transforming the South American country.

“The energy sector is now a key driver of Guyana’s economy, and our growing readership base indicates that Energy magazine is making a mark in this exciting new era in the nation’s history,” said Editor-in-Chief, Gwen Evelyn. “We are carving out a niche by providing relevant, engaging stories about how the energy sector is propelling national development as well as the plans, activities and people involved.”

This edition features key updates on Guyana’s landmark gas-to-energy project which is now in the preliminary stages of implementation with a number of meetings being held across the country for input in the upcoming Environmental Impact Assessment study to be conducted.

“Our readers’ response has been overwhelmingly positive. Their comments and suggestions have pointed us to what they are looking for— project updates, specific aspects of oil and gas production operations; the vessels, equipment and techniques involved; the supply chain; the expansion of local content, especially the involvement of women and Guyanese in the industry,” Evelyn said.

Guyana’s Ministry of Natural Resources has also endorsed the publication and will be providing key updates each quarter on the activities in the oil and gas sector.

Additionally, the country’s largest offshore support facility – Guyana Shore Base Inc., will provide quarterly updates on its rapidly expanding operations in the South American country.

“Our magazine is putting out there what energy industry leaders and key stakeholders are saying, doing and planning, along with expected and realized benefits,” the Editor pointed out. “I believe our audience appreciates that we’re mainly focused on actual and potential progress, gains and opportunities in the energy sector. Many persons are interested in these areas, and we’re excited to challenge ourselves, continue to grow and provide the information they want.”
