A team from the Guyana Oil and Gas Association (GOGA) left for Canada on Sunday to attend the Newfoundland & Labrador Oil & Gas Industries Association (NOIA) 2017 Conference which will be held in St. Johns, Newfoundland, from June 19 – 22.

The team included the President and CEO of GOGA; Mr. Bobby Gossai, Jr. and Mr. Andrew Mendes; Director of GOGA.

Mr. Gossai told OilNOW prior to the team’s departure that the primary purpose of the mission is to further establish working relationships with NOIA and other associated organizations for the development of GOGA, as it continues to enhance new initiatives of the local oil and gas sector.

The team will meet with key institutions and private sector organizations with an aim to deliver more tailored events for Guyana and to set an applicable agenda for its 2018 conference.

The Newfoundland & Labrador Oil & Gas Industries Association (NOIA) is Canada’s largest offshore petroleum association. With almost 600 members in Atlantic Canada and around the world, NOIA is at the center of East Coast Canada’s oil & gas industry. NOIA members provide products and services for the petroleum sector while associate members include petroleum companies, trade associations, educational institutions and government bodies and agencies.

The annual NOIA Conference is the largest offshore conference in Canada and provides delegates with crucial information on trends and business opportunities in the East Coast Canada oil & gas industry.

The GOGA team will also attend the Atlantic Canada Petroleum Show 2017 which is built around the NOIA Conference.
