Development drilling operations remain in high gear at ExxonMobil’s latest project off the Guyana coast, set to come online later this year.
The Noble Bob Douglas will conduct activities which will conclude on August 31, according to a notice from the Maritime Administration Department. It will incorporate the use of several vessels in the drill campaign.
The well site is situated approximately 106.9 nautical miles (198.1 kilometers) offshore and covers an area of 0.29 square nautical miles (1 square kilometer).
The Payara development, the third project in the ExxonMobil-operated Stabroek Block, is located 200 kilometers offshore Guyana in 1,800 meters water depth. Ten drill centers are planned along with up to 41 wells, including 20 production and 21 injection wells connected to the Prosperity Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel. The FPSO arrived in Guyana waters back in April.
The project will utilize onshore infrastructure which includes shorebases, warehouses, storage and pipe yards, fabrication facilities, fuel supply facilities, and waste management facilities in Guyana.
