The University of Guyana will host its Open Day & Job Fair 2026 on April 17 and 18 at the Sattaur and Ameena Gafoor Multipurpose Auditorium, Turkeyen Campus, from 10:00h to 16:00h daily.

The event will be held under the theme: “Innovation. Opportunity. Impact,” bringing together students, graduates and companies as Guyana expands capacity to support its growing oil and gas sector.

Pandora Energy Guyana and Western Logistics (Guyana) Inc. will participate alongside SBM Offshore Guyana, MODEC, ExxonMobil Guyana and other oil and gas companies at the event.

ExxonMobil Guyana is the operator of the Stabroek Block, where multiple offshore developments are producing oil and driving demand for skilled labor across technical, marine and support services.

Pandora Energy Guyana provides trained seafarers for offshore oil and gas operations, supporting vessels and installations. Western Logistics (Guyana) Inc. provides transportation and supply chain services that support offshore and onshore activity.

SBM Offshore Guyana operates floating production, storage and offloading vessels in the Stabroek Block, producing oil from the Liza, Payara and Yellowtail developments. MODEC is advancing floating production vessels for upcoming developments, namely Uaru and Hammerhead.

Pandora Energy Guyana and Western Logistics (Guyana) Inc. said their participation is focused on workforce development. “Pandora Energy Guyana and Western Logistics (Guyana) Inc. are proud to play a meaningful role in the job creation industry, helping to connect people with real opportunities and build a stronger workforce for Guyana’s future,” the companies stated.

Guyana’s oil and gas sector continues to expand with multiple offshore developments in operation and others in the pipeline, increasing demand for skilled workers across marine, technical and logistics roles. Events such as the university’s job fair provide a direct link between training and employment, allowing companies to identify local talent while giving students and graduates access to career pathways in the sector.

Students and job seekers attending the fair will be able to explore more than 180 programs offered by the university, engage academic and administrative staff, and connect with representatives of local and international companies.
