Petrobras has reached a key milestone with the Uchuva-2 well, confirming the natural gas discovery initially made in 2022 with Uchuva-1.
Located 31 km offshore Colombia at a water depth of 804 meters, Uchuva-2 was spudded on June 19 and is currently in progress with five phases.

In phase four, a gas-bearing interval was verified through wireline logging, and further laboratory analyses will characterize it. Petrobras, with a 44.44% working interest, and Ecopetrol, holding 55.56%, are working together to complete the well to the expected depth.
A formation test is planned by the end of 2024.
