The second edition of Guyana’s International Energy Conference opened on Feb. 14 in Georgetown and will conclude on Friday.

The opening ceremony saw the participation of Guyana’s President, Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali; Suriname President, Chandrikapersad Santokhi; Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. Keith Rowley; and Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves.

With over 200 exhibitors from the global oil industry participating and over 800 delegates and sponsors, the event is a platform for companies to tackle concerns affecting the energy sector, as well as challenges of climate change mitigation, and maximising the benefits of local content development in Guyana and the region.
