Guyanese businesses are being invited to submit bids for vulcanizing services under a new request for information issued by Saipem Guyana, aimed at supporting its offshore and onshore operations linked to developments in the Stabroek Block.
The opportunity was published on June 5 via Guyana’s Local Content Register, outlining requirements for qualified local companies to support vehicle, equipment, and machinery maintenance services.

According to Saipem, the scope of work includes, but is not limited to, “inspection and assessment of tires for damage, wear, punctures and overall condition; tire puncture repairs and patching; pressing of solid tires; tire replacement, fitting and removal services; tire rotation and balancing where required; and tube replacement and valve servicing”.
It also includes proper disposal of damaged or unserviceable tires and materials in accordance with applicable HSE (health, safety and environment) requirements; provision of qualified personnel, tools, and equipment necessary to safely execute the services; and ensuring all work is completed in a safe, timely, and professional manner to minimize equipment downtime.

The company said all participating companies must comply with Guyana’s Local Content Act and be registered with both the Local Content Register and the Centre for Local Business Development.
Submissions must be sent via email by June 22, 2026, as Saipem moves to expand its network of local suppliers supporting offshore projects, including Liza 1 & 2, Payara, Yellowtail, Uaru, Whiptail, and Hammerhead.
