SRS readies second batch of Guyanese recruits for oil and gas sector

Strategic Recruitment Solutions Inc. (SRS) is moving to enlist a second batch of Guyanese for positions in the country’s emerging oil and gas sector.

The Guyanese recruitment firm will be training the new batch of ten for positions that include sailors, motorman and cooks.

Chief Executive Officer of SRS, Kerri Gravesande told OilNOW the new recruits include graduates of Guyana’s Carnegie School of Home Economics, residents of Linden and one individual from Berbice who acquired skills at the Guysuco Training Centre.

Their training, Gravesande said, will begin on September 24 and conclude on October 2 and will be undertaken at the MatPal Marine Institute in Guyana’s capital, Georgetown.

SRS was recently established to provide manpower services, with special focus on Guyana’s emerging oil and gas sector. The company’s recruiting and hiring practices are governed by the Equal Opportunity Employment and other local labour laws. The company already has a range of local and international partners. These include; Guyana’s Ministry of Social Protection – Department of Labour, Guyana Maritime Administration, University of Guyana, Caribbean Surgeries Inc/Partners with ISOS (ExxonMobil approved Medical Provider), Falck Nutec Safety Centre, among several others.
