Stena Drilling Limited, through its Guyana branch, is inviting contractors and suppliers to submit expressions of interest (EOIs) for training services to support operations on the Stena Carron, which is operating offshore Guyana.

The request, published by the Centre for Local Business Development, targets providers capable of delivering a range of safety, technical and emergency response training to support planned drilling activity in the country. The company outlined the requirement in its EOI notice, as part of efforts to maintain compliance with industry standards and its internal training matrix.

Interested parties must demonstrate adherence to ISO 9001 quality standards. The company said these standards form part of its operational framework and will be assessed during any subsequent competitive sourcing process.

The scope includes offshore-certified training such as OPITO BOSIET and FOET, as well as Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) courses. Required modules cover personal survival techniques, fire prevention and firefighting, elementary first aid, and personal safety and social responsibility.

Additional training areas include fast rescue boats, survival craft operations, rigging and lifting, and well control certification under IWCF or IADC accreditation. Emergency response programs such as OPITO Offshore Emergency Response Team Member (OERTM) and Helideck Emergency Response Team Member (HERTM) are also listed.
