ExxonMobil Guyana is seeking suppliers that can provide environmental, regulatory and socioeconomic consultancy services to support a broad range of offshore and onshore activities in Guyana.

The request for information appeared in local newspapers on April 22, 2026. It is aimed at identifying firms with the technical personnel, equipment and facilities needed to support environmental, regulatory and social management work tied to the company’s operations.

The scope covers technical proposals, assessments and modeling for coastal and marine biodiversity, including mangroves, birds, reptiles and mammals. It also includes work related to offshore and nearshore fisheries and the physical and chemical characterization of offshore, nearshore and terrestrial ecosystems.

Consultants may also be required to assess offshore and onshore emissions and discharges, including air, acoustic impacts, treated wastewater discharge, and unplanned events such as emergency flaring and spills.

The work extends to socioeconomic and community-related studies. These include traffic, livelihoods, community health, fisheries, farming, social infrastructure and services, cultural heritage, archeological surveys, coastal sensitivity, and ecosystem services.

ExxonMobil Guyana is also seeking support for the preparation of Environmental and Social Impact Assessments, cumulative impact assessments, environmental and social management plans, stakeholder engagement plans, environmental monitoring plans, and road safety plans.

The requested services include identifying environmental mitigation measures for construction operations and carrying out monitoring and analysis for emissions, discharges, surface water, operational effluents, ecology, sediment, soil, flora, fauna, waste management, emergency response, remediation, protected species, marine mammals, and baseline environmental conditions.

In addition to technical studies, the company is seeking support for public and stakeholder meetings, environmental and regulatory reporting, and the development of training for stakeholders, including government agencies. Suppliers may also be required to help identify permits and regulatory requirements and show they can obtain any necessary authorizations.

The services are intended to support a wide range of activities, including offshore oil and gas production operations, floating production, storage and offloading units, support vessels, pipelines, helicopters, gas pipeline development, shorebases, office buildings, communication infrastructure, waste management, seismic acquisition, baseline surveys, and drilling operations.

This includes exploration, appraisal and development wells, along with rig importation and other in-water activities. 

ExxonMobil is the operator of Guyana’s Stabroek Block.
