Vreed-en-Hoop Shorebase Inc. (VEHSI) is inviting locally registered suppliers to provide 91 services in support of its operations. The Expression of Interest (EOI) submissions are due by May 29, 2023.
VEHSI is a joint venture between NRG Holdings Inc., a Guyanese consortium of majority locally-owned businesses — Hadi’s World Incorporated, National Hardware Guyana Limited, ZRN Investments Incorporated, and Jan De Nul Group. It is part of the larger Port of Vreed-en-Hoop, which will be Guyana’s first modern, deep water, multi-purpose port situated in Foreshore Plantation, West Bank Demerara.
It is mandatory for companies to utilise Guyanese goods and services to substantially support their operations, in accordance with Guyana’s Local Content Act of 2021.
