Two of ExxonMobil’s key subsea contractors — TechnipFMC and DOF Subsea — are set to host Supplier Engagement Forums in November as Guyana’s offshore oil industry continues to expand. Both events will take place at the Centre for Local Business Development in Georgetown.
TechnipFMC’s forum is scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, 2025, and will focus on building relationships with local suppliers. The company said discussions will cover its procurement procedures, sourcing suppliers, payment terms, and upcoming procurement opportunities. Two sessions will be held, one from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. and another from 2:00 to 2:25 p.m. Registration for the event can be done online.
DOF Subsea will host its own engagement on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. The forum aims to connect with Guyanese businesses and strengthen collaboration within the growing offshore supply chain.
DOF Subsea has been a key contractor for ExxonMobil, executing subsea works in the Stabroek Block, one of the world’s most prolific offshore oil provinces. The Block, located offshore Guyana, holds an estimated 11 billion barrels of oil equivalent across more than 30 discoveries to date.
TechnipFMC, meanwhile, has been active in Guyana since 2017, when it secured its first subsea production system contract for Exxon’s Liza Phase 1 project. The company provides Enhanced Vertical Deepwater Trees (EVDTs), Tooling, Manifolds, Controls and Tie-in Equipment, and Life of Field Services. Between 2024 and 2029, TechnipFMC is expected to supply around 400 subsea trees, with about 35% destined for Exxon’s Guyana developments.
