Hess Corporation (NYSE: HES), a 30% shareholder in the Stabroek block, offshore Guyana, has earned a place on Corporate Responsibility magazine’s prestigious list of 100 Best Corporate Citizens for 2017. The list recognizes public companies across the United States that demonstrated strong performance in such areas as environment, climate change, employee relations, human rights, governance, finance, philanthropy and community support.
Hess is ranked one of the top oil and gas companies, and No. 51 overall. The company has been named to the list each of the last 10 years. Ratings are based on 260 data points of disclosure and performance measures from publicly-available information.

The 100 Best Corporate Citizens List ranks the Russell 1000 Index of publicly held U.S. companies. The methodology for generating the list is governed by the Ratings and Rankings Thought Leadership Council of the Corporate Responsibility Association (CRA).
