SBM Offshore announced on Feb. 21 that the ONE GUYANA floating, production storage and offloading vessel (FPSO) has left drydock. OilNOW understands the vessel is now moored along quayside at the Seatrium yard in Singapore. It is the fourth FPSO to be built by SBM Offshore for ExxonMobil’s deepwater developments in Guyana.
The ONE GUYANA FPSO builds upon the success of its predecessors – Liza Destiny, Liza Unity, and Prosperity. Its design incorporates SBM Offshore’s industry leading Fast4Ward program, which the company says promises top-notch performance and efficiency.
“We are thrilled to share that the ONE GUYANA FPSO, a state-of-the-art floating production, storage and offloading vessel, has successfully completed its dry-docking phase! This milestone is a testament to the innovative engineering and forward-thinking design under SBM Offshore’s #Fast4ward program,” said Martin Cheong – SBM Offshore Guyana’s General Manager – in a LinkedIn post.

The vessel, meant for ExxonMobil’s Yellowtail project, is designed to produce 250,000 barrels of oil per day, with an associated gas treatment capacity of 450 million cubic feet per day and water injection capacity of 300,000 barrels per day. The floater will be spread moored in water depth of about 1,800 meters and will be able to store around two million barrels of crude oil.
US$10B Yellowtail Project set to unleash a tsunami of economic benefits
The development plan for Yellowtail includes six drill centers and the drilling of up to 67 development wells, including 26 production and 25 injection wells. A subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines (SURF) production system comprising 51 enhanced vertical deepwater trees (EVDT) with associated tooling, as well as 12 manifolds with related controls and tie-in equipment, will also be installed for the project by TechnipFMC.
