SBM Offshore’s pipeline of floating production, storage, and offloading vessels includes projects for Guyana, Suriname, and Brazil.
As of August 2026, the company was constructing FPSO Jaguar and the GranMorgu FPSO. It had also secured contracts for two Petrobras units in Brazil and was completing front-end engineering and design work for ExxonMobil Guyana’s proposed Longtail FPSO.
Jaguar is expected to begin production in 2027, while first oil from GranMorgu is targeted for 2028. Petrobras expects delivery of SEAP-II in 2030 and SEAP-I in 2031.
The company is using its Fast4Ward program to support the pipeline. The model combines standardized newbuild hulls with topsides modules to shorten project schedules and manage several large developments.
Here is where the five FPSOs are expected to operate:
- FPSO Jaguar – Guyana
FPSO Jaguar is being built for ExxonMobil Guyana’s Whiptail development in the Stabroek Block. First oil is expected in 2027.
The vessel will produce up to 250,000 barrels of oil per day. It will also treat 540 million cubic feet of gas per day and inject 300,000 barrels of water per day.
SBM Offshore said in its August 2026 half-year update that topsides module lifting and integration activities were progressing as planned.
ExxonMobil Guyana will own the FPSO. SBM Offshore has agreed in principle to operate and maintain the unit for 10 years, subject to a final work order. - GranMorgu FPSO – Suriname
The GranMorgu FPSO is being constructed for TotalEnergies’ development in Block 58, offshore Suriname. First oil is expected in 2028.
The unit will be able to produce 220,000 barrels of oil per day. SBM Offshore is delivering the FPSO through a joint venture with Technip Energies.
Hull and topsides fabrication was progressing in China as of August 2026. The FPSO will be transferred to TotalEnergies before operations begin.
SBM Offshore has also secured a contract to operate and maintain the unit for at least two years after first oil. - Longtail FPSO – Guyana
SBM Offshore is carrying out front-end engineering and design work for ExxonMobil Guyana’s proposed Longtail development in the Stabroek Block.
The FPSO will be designed to produce 250,000 barrels of condensate per day and process 1.2 billion cubic feet of gas per day. It will store approximately two million barrels of condensate and operate in water about 1,750 meters deep.
The FEED award announced in March 2026 allowed SBM Offshore to allocate a Fast4Ward hull to the project.
Construction remains subject to the Guyana government’s approval of the development plan, a final investment decision by ExxonMobil, and authorization for SBM Offshore to begin the next phase of work. No delivery or first-oil date has been announced. - SEAP-II FPSO – Brazil
SBM Offshore will design, build, and operate the SEAP-II FPSO, also known as P-87, for Petrobras in the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin offshore northeastern Brazil.
The vessel will produce up to 120,000 barrels of oil per day. It will treat 425 million standard cubic feet of gas per day and inject 120,000 barrels of water per day.
Delivery is expected in 2030. The FPSO will operate approximately 80 kilometers offshore in water about 2,500 meters deep. - SEAP-I FPSO – Brazil
SEAP-I, also known as P-81, will operate in the Sergipe-Alagoas Basin. Delivery is expected in 2031.
The vessel will produce up to 120,000 barrels of oil per day. It will treat 355 million standard cubic feet of gas per day and inject 200,000 barrels of water per day.
The FPSO will be installed approximately 100 kilometers offshore in water about 2,500 meters deep.
Under the contracts awarded in May 2026, Petrobras-led consortia will own SEAP-I and SEAP-II. SBM Offshore will operate each vessel for an initial 6.5 years.
