Guyana’s continuing emergence as an energy hub will be explored during an online event which is due to take place on Tuesday, June 22 and Wednesday, June 23.

Hosted by Aberdeen-based Granite PR, the Aberdeen-Guyana Gateway will move online for the second year running and will see a range of speakers from both locations discuss their experience of doing business in Guyana.

The event is being held in association with OES Asset Integrity Management, Transportation & Logistic Consulting (TLC) and ABIS Energy.

As well as highlighting Guyana’s energy story so far, the event will look at the next chapter and examine how links between Scotland and Guyana can be leveraged to carefully explore energy transition opportunities, as well as highlighting the importance and value of local content in future operations.

An impressive, and growing, line-up of speakers will represent organisations experienced in operating in either or both locations, and they will share with delegates their business journeys as a springboard towards their own growth aspirations.

Commenting on preparations Brett Jackson, Founder/MD of Granite PR and creator of the Gateway series said: “With travel still restricted, online business events such as this have become even more important for companies seeking to expand their corporate horizons in continuing times of uncertainty.”

Granite PR renowned for delivering quality business events, both in person and online, which create opportunities to establish and grow links between Aberdeen and other key energy hubs.  The inaugural event in the Gateway series linked Aberdeen with Houston in March 2013 and, since then, a total of 27 events have been held with Norway, Perth WA, the UAE and Guyana adding to the annual calendar.

The Aberdeen-Guyana Gateway is supported by Aberdeen City Council, ABIS Energy, British High Commission Georgetown, UK Department for International Trade, Energy Industries Council, Evolve Trading & Investment Ltd, Georgetown Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Guyana Oil & Gas Support Services Inc, OES Asset Integrity Management, OilNOW and Scottish Development International, Transportation & Logistic Consulting (TLC).
