Azule Energy said its wholly owned subsidiary Eni Angola SPA (Eni), and the partners in the Block 15/06, Sonangol P&P and SSI Fifteen Limited, have awarded the main contracts for the development of the Agogo Integrated West Hub (AIWH) Development Project.
This is one of the major upstream projects being developed in the coming years in Angola.

This Project will also represent an important contribution towards the increase of the country’s oil production, ”Adriano Mongini, Azule Energy CEO commented.
Yinson has been awarded a contract for the supply of the floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel, field operations and maintenance services.
Baker Hughes got the contract for the supply of the subsea production system and aftermarket services.
Aker Solutions will supply the umbilical system.
Saipem has been entrusted with the supply installation of rigid flowlines and the subsea structure transportation and installation.
Subsea7 will transport and install the risers, flowlines, and subsea structures.
TechnipFMC will supply risers and flowlines.
The AIWH project comprises 36 new wells (21 producers and 15 injectors), one converted FPSO with capacity for 120,000 barrels per day (bpd) of oil production, 230 million standard cubic feet per day (mscfd) of gas injection and 120,000 bpd of water injection. It will also entail approximately 100 kilometres (km) of rigid flowlines, 100 km of flexible flowlines and 100 km of umbilicals.
AIWH will produce hydrocarbons from Agogo and Ndungu fields via both the existing Ngoma FPSO and the new Agogo FPSO to be operational from mid-2026, reaching peak production of 175,000 bpd. Azule said this will fully exploit the utilisation and synergies with the existing infrastructures of the western area of the block 15/06, in order to optimise the project schedule and associated cost.
Block 15/06 partners are Eni Angola SPA (36.84%, operator), Sonangol P&P (36.84%), and SSI Fifteen Limited (26.32%). Since the first oil in 2014, it has already produced over 300 million barrels from Ngoma and Armada Olombendo FPSOs.
Azule Energy is an Angola-focused joint venture company formed by bp and Eni last year. The two majors have equal stakes in what is the largest independent equity producer of oil and gas in Angola.
