Guyana’s Finance Minister Winston Jordan says bankers are ‘bombarding’ the small South American country which recently became an oil producer and exported its first crude cargo on Monday.

Jordan, in an interview with Reuters’ Luc Cohen in Georgetown, said government is rejecting the proposals to avoid the excessive borrowing that has plagued other oil producers.
