ExxonMobil’s expanded operations are set to boost subsea tree installations in 2024, with a projected 12% contribution, according to Rystad Energy. This surge follows Equinor, which accounted for 17% of total subsea tree installations this year. Exxon’s focus is primarily on Guyana, driven by major projects like Yellowtail and Payara, highlighting the region’s growing importance in the subsea sector.
The Yellowtail development plan includes six drill centers and up to 67 development wells, comprising 26 production and 25 injection wells. TechnipFMC will install a subsea production system, featuring 51 enhanced vertical deepwater trees, 12 manifolds, and associated equipment.
