Halliburton has invited Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for design and construction services for Sperry Drilling services at its Eccles, East Bank Demerara base.

The oilfield services provider says Sperry Drilling delivers superior performance to reduce time to first oil, enhance reservoir knowledge, and maximise production.

Halliburton has been expanding its operations in Guyana since its entry in 2015. This includes what it has positioned as one of the largest mud plants in the hemisphere. Its local workforce has also expanded significantly as nearly 100% of its services have been trasitioned to Guyana.

The company provides key products and services to the local oil and gas industry, including directional drilling, surface data logging, wireline logging, drill bits, drilling fluids, cementing, completion services, reservoir evaluation, stimulation and other oilfield chemical products, services and equipment.

Halliburton is a prime contractor of ExxonMobil, operator of three blocks offshore Guyana.
