Former Minister of Energy and Energy Affairs in Trinidad and Tobago, Kevin Ramnarine, says even with the collapse in petroleum prices US oil major ExxonMobil stuck it through in Guyana, and as a result of multiple discoveries, the South American country has now been elevated to that of a major hot spot in the industry.

Mr. Ramnarine was at the time speaking at a media briefing held on the sidelines of the Guyana International Petroleum Exhibition and Summit which got underway on Wednesday.
