TechnipFMC has been recognised by oil giant ExxonMobil for its adherence to the strictest safety standards

The subsea specialists Guyana team, serving the Exxon-operated Stabroek Block, copped the ExxonMobil Global Projects President’s Safety, Security, Health and Environment (SSH&E) Award, TechnipFMC said.

Chair and Chief Executive, Douglas Pferdehirt, received on the team’s behalf.

“It is a proud moment for everyone at TechnipFMC as our Guyana team’s commitment to safety is recognised by our client ExxonMobil,” the company said. “ExxonMobil was impressed by how we integrate human performance concepts into various aspects of the project, including supply chain, engineering and quality. Through unprecedented levels of collaboration between us and our client, our joint team demonstrated the value of our partnership.”

After building a presence in Guyana for six years, TechnipFMC established a Guyana Service Base at Rome, McDoom on the East Bank of Demerara, transferring all of its activities in aid of Guyana petroleum operations, from Trinidad and Tobago.

In November 2021, TechnipFMC was awarded the contract to supply the subsea production system for the US$9 billion Yellowtail Development. It will provide project management, engineering, manufacturing, and testing capabilities to deliver the overall subsea production system. TechnipFMC was hired by Exxon for works on the Gas-to-Energy Project. Subject to final project sanction, TechnipFMC will provide engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of subsea risers and pipelines.
