The Guyana Shore Base Inc. (GYSBI) recently increased its local workforce by 25 following three cross-country events held in October targeting new recruits.

“We are vetting more applications, which were received from the fairs and those persons will be given offers as the opportunities become available,” GYSBI noted in response to questions from OilNOW.

The company in its update revealed too that it received resumes and conducted interviews for more than 1,000 persons.

OilNOW previously reported that GYSBI held a total of three career fairs on October 9,10 and 16, 2021 at the Guyana National Stadium, the Uitvlugt Community Center Ground and the Enmore Community Center Ground.

These events were held with the intention of filling 150 positions including Warehouse Supervisors, Mechanics, Crane Operators, Equipment Maintenance Technicians, Field Technicians, and Fuel Facility Operators.
