A voyage of over 11,000 nautical miles (20,000 kilometers) concluded for the ONE GUYANA floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel. The vessel departed Singapore 60 days ago, arriving in Guyana on schedule.
First Lady of Guyana, Arya Ali was among the welcome party last week, having named the country’s fourth FPSO. In a statement on April 16, Ali expressed optimism about the positive impact this milestone will have on Guyana. “The One Guyana FPSO is a critical part of the Yellowtail development project and will play a pivotal role in supporting our nation’s growing energy industry. This will help create jobs, boost our local economy, and build a brighter, more prosperous future for all Guyanese.”
Ali said, “It is truly humbling to see Guyana rise as a leader in the global energy landscape, and I’m proud to be part of this journey along with all those who would have worked tirelessly to bring us to this point.” She said this is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and vision, and “I am excited to see what lies ahead for our beautiful country”.
On May 3, a street festival will be held to mark the vessel’s arrival. Yellowtail is expected to boost national revenues and expand opportunities for local content. The Yellowtail’s street festival is intended to reflect the project’s benefits to the nation and showcase Guyanese talent, culture and creativity.

Constructed by SBM Offshore with an initial daily production capacity of 250,000 barrels and storage capacity of around two million barrels, the ONE GUYANA vessel will support operations in the Yellowtail development starting later this year.
