The Errea Wittu floating production, storage and offloading vessel was positioned off Guyana’s coast on August 19, VesselFinder data showed. The automatic identification system data listed Georgetown, Guyana, as the vessel’s destination. It was traveling at 7.4 knots, with an estimated arrival time of 10 a.m. today.
Arrival estimates can change based on a vessel’s speed, route, and operating schedule.
President Irfaan Ali announced earlier this week that the Errea Wittu was expected to arrive in Guyana within days. The FPSO departed Singapore in June after MODEC completed construction and commissioning work.

The vessel will be installed approximately 200 kilometers offshore Guyana at ExxonMobil’s Uaru development in the Stabroek Block. Installation activities are underway to prepare the offshore field for production.
Errea Wittu will become the fifth FPSO supporting oil production offshore Guyana. It will also be MODEC’s first FPSO deployed in the country. The four FPSOs already operating in the Stabroek Block were supplied by SBM Offshore.
The vessel is designed to produce 250,000 barrels of oil per day, process 540 million cubic feet of associated gas daily, and inject 350,000 barrels of water per day. It can store up to two million barrels of crude. Its production capacity is expected to push Guyana’s total oil output beyond one million barrels per day after the Uaru project begins production. Start-up is scheduled before the end of 2026.
The US$12.7 billion Uaru development targets more than 800 million barrels of recoverable oil. It will include up to 10 drill centers and 44 production and injection wells.
Errea Wittu will feature a combined-cycle gas turbine designed to improve power-generation efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It will also use a closed-loop flare system to limit emissions during operations.
ExxonMobil operates the Stabroek Block with a 45% interest. Hess, owned by Chevron, holds 30%, while CNOOC holds the remaining 25%.
