ExxonMobil Guyana Limited (EMGL) is gearing up to finalize an agreement for freight forwarding services to seamlessly move company materials, equipment, and supplies to and from designated origins and destinations. 

According to a public request for information (RFI), under the proposed agreement, the selected contractor will deploy a line-item track and trace tool to ensure local and international material visibility from the point of pick-up to delivery at the final destination specified by EMGL. A key requirement is for the contractor to have a presence in both Guyana and the USA.

Exxon said the anticipated services encompass a wide array of logistical support, including planning assistance, expediting of materials, receipt and verification of materials, export packing, preservation, and inspection for hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Additionally, the contractor will coordinate air and ocean freight, facilitate customs clearance, arrange for inland transportation, and provide storage and warehousing facilities.

Exxon said that a comprehensive cargo management system, coupled with a worldwide tracking mechanism, will ensure efficient handling of materials throughout the supply chain. Furthermore, the Contractor will manage documentation, resolve claims, and optimize end-to-end processes to enhance operational efficiency.

EMGL emphasized the importance of robust reporting and performance management under the agreement, ensuring transparency and accountability in the delivery of the required services.

ExxonMobil is operator of the Stabroek and Canje Blocks offshore Guyana and is engaged in exploration and development operations in the former block.
