G-Boats Incorporated has opened a new bidding process for suppliers seeking to provide commonly used operational materials and equipment to support Guyana’s oil and gas services sector.
According to a tender notice published by the Local Content Register on June 15, the company is inviting bids across several categories, including general supplies, personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment, office supplies, electrical items, plumbing materials, fittings, and general chandlery.
The procurement exercise is being managed by G-Boats’ Purchasing Department, which said submissions will be reviewed within 14 days before contracts are awarded.

Interested vendors must meet several requirements, including “Local content certification with the Secretariat, registration in the Centre for Local Business Development (CLBD), business registration, a company profile with presentation or relevant experience to provide services, and a [taxpayer identification number] certificate”.
Suppliers are also required to request detailed itemized lists for the categories being tendered by contacting the company directly.
The initiative creates an opportunity for Guyanese businesses to compete for supply contracts supporting offshore and marine operations, as operators and service providers continue expanding activities linked to the country’s petroleum sector.

G-Boats is a joint venture between Edison Chouest Offshore and the Guyanese-owned John Fernandes Limited.
The company operates the G-Port facility in Kingston, Georgetown, which serves as a logistics and shore base hub supporting activities in the Stabroek Block through a fleet of vessels operating under contract with ExxonMobil.
