EnergyJobs.sr, Suriname’s first dedicated job portal for the energy sector, is seeing growing participation from major oil and gas companies as construction advances on the country’s first offshore oil development.
Launched in November, the platform debuted with 437 identified roles and 142 active job openings, linking local talent to opportunities across the energy value chain. Initial listings came from companies such as TotalEnergies, Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V., SBM Offshore, Halliburton, OneSubsea, Weatherford, and CCC Group.

Since then, additional companies have joined as hiring demand increases. New participants include Exsol NV, ECIS NV, Baker Hughes, NV Tactigent Consultancy, Atlas NextWave, Bucking Services Suriname, ASTC Consultancy, Codeco NV, CEAD NV, OCC NV, MedservRegis, and TechnipFMC.

The expansion of the portal comes as Suriname moves closer to first oil from its maiden offshore project, GranMorgu, located in Block 58. The development is being led by TotalEnergies, in partnership with Staatsolie, and includes the construction of a floating production, storage and offloading vessel designed to process crude from the field. First oil is expected in 2028.
Saipem and TechnipFMC have been hired to carry out subsea work in support of the development. The project will combine TechnipFMC’s subsea architecture with Saipem’s engineering, procurement, construction and installation capabilities, including J-Lay pipelay technology suited to offshore Suriname, to support schedule execution toward first oil.
