MODEC Guyana is inviting qualified subcontractors to provide start-up, maintenance and optimization services for its seawater treatment systems.
The company is seeking skilled manpower, tools and resources to perform commissioning and start-up, planned and corrective maintenance, remote monitoring and technical support across multiple packages.

The scope includes performance monitoring and optimization to ensure consistent production of treated seawater that meets required specifications.
Contractors will also be responsible for supplying materials, tools, consumables and personnel needed for commissioning and start-up activities, as well as for the replacement and upkeep of sulphate removal unit (SRU) and ultra-filtration (UF) membrane units.

Units covered under the contract include seawater coarse strainers, UF packages, SRU packages, electro-chlorinators, feed and booster pumps, sulphate removal membrane trains, vacuum deaeration vessels and pumps, ejectors, air/water separators and process cooling medium exchangers.
The scope also extends to the UF and SRU cleaning-in-place systems, tanks, heaters, pumps, cartridge filters and the chemically enhanced backwash system.
MODEC currently holds engineering, procurement, construction and installation contracts for two floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels being built for ExxonMobil’s Uaru and Hammerhead projects. These developments will help expand oil production in the Stabroek Block, which is projected to reach 1.7 million barrels per day by 2030.
