Norwegian offshore services company DOF Group has secured contracts worth between US$15 million and US$25 million for two anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels that will operate in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) region.
DOF announced the awards on August 10, saying the firm contracts have a combined duration of 150 days.
The company did not identify the client, the specific vessels involved or the countries where the work will be carried out.

In addition to providing the two AHTS vessels, DOF will supply remotely operated vehicle (ROV) services for the engagement. The vessels are expected to begin transiting to the region shortly.
DOF classified the combined contract value as “Significant,” a category it uses for contracts valued between US$15 million and US$25 million.
AHTS vessels are commonly used to support offshore energy operations, including the handling and deployment of anchors and mooring systems, towing offshore units and transporting equipment and supplies. ROVs are subsea vehicles operated from the surface and are used for activities such as underwater inspection, monitoring and intervention.

The contracts add to DOF’s offshore work portfolio as oil and gas activity continues across parts of the Caribbean and northern South America.
DOF provides integrated offshore services to the energy industry, with operations spanning subsea services and marine operations. Its fleet includes vessels designed for anchor handling, subsea construction and other offshore support activities.
