SBM Offshore Guyana is inviting applications for its Trainee Technician Program, with a deadline set for May 24, 2026, as the company continues efforts to build technical capacity for offshore operations.

The program targets roles in electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and production disciplines. It is aimed at preparing participants for maintenance work on and around floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels operating offshore Guyana.

The program delivers an intensive learning experience, with a focus on safety, technical skills and operational readiness. According to a Facebook post by SBM Offshore, the program is open to individuals who demonstrate commitment to safety, adaptability, teamwork and strong communication skills. 

Successful candidates will participate in instructor-led training that includes classroom instruction, practical exercises and structured evaluations. Participants will also be stationed offshore on FPSO vessels, where they will be exposed to real-world operating conditions.

Applications can be submitted through the company’s careers portal.

In addition to the trainee program, SBM Offshore Guyana offers an 18-month Graduate Engineer Program. Participants are placed in roles aligned with their interests and academic background, with exposure to the company’s operations in Guyana.
