ExxonMobil Guyana Limited (EMGL) is scheduled to conclude drilling operations at a Yellowtail development well offshore Guyana on February 28, 2026, according to a Notice to Mariners issued by the Maritime Administration Department (MARAD).

The notice stated that developmental drilling will continue at the YT_1i10 drill center within the Stabroek Block of Guyana’s Exclusive Economic Zone from January 14, 2026.

According to MARAD, drilling operations are being carried out using the MODU Noble Bob Douglas, supported by a fleet of offshore support and construction vessels operating in the area. These vessels will display international signals indicating active offshore operations.

MARAD said the YT_1i10 Drill Center is located approximately 109.7 nautical miles (203.1 kilometers) offshore Guyana and covers an area of 0.29 square nautical miles (about one square kilometer).

Mariners have been advised to maintain a safe distance from the drillship and support vessels throughout the drilling campaign.

Yellowtail is ExxonMobil’s fourth oil development offshore Guyana. The project came online in August 2025 and reached initial production capacity in early November, producing an average of 258,000 barrels per day, according to recently released government data.

The project operates from the ONE GUYANA floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel and complements the Liza Phase One, Liza Phase Two, and Payara developments. Combined, these projects provide Guyana with more than 900,000 barrels per day of installed production capacity.
